One thing you might not know about me is that I love to write. On my Instagram profile I describe myself as a Houstonian, wife, mother, writer, photographer, dreamer, executer, adventurer, and lover. I really could have gone on and on, because there is so much to me, but thanks to the character limit, those are the descriptive words that made it.
If you aren’t already following me on there, you really should. I am on almost all the social media platforms, including Snapchat, so make sure you follow me on those (/jordanschilleci $ @jordanschilleci)!
So back to where I was.. I was saying how much I love to write, but I haven’t been expressing myself lately. To say that I stay busy would be an understatement. For those of you who know me, you know most of the details. Between my husband and I, we have six kids, starting with our youngest, who is 1, going up to our oldest who is 17 and is graduating high school this year.
Long story short, I hate that I don’t make time to write. I feel like if one isn’t making time for their passions, it will be apparent something is missing from their life. When 2017 hit I decided I didn’t want to experience that feeling anymore. So, I picked my word for the year: intentional.
I want to be intentional with my time. I started with making a schedule and sticking to the habit of structuring my days. I started working out every single day: when I wake up and before I go to bed. I wake up early. I go to bed early. I meditate. I read. I listen to podcasts. I eat healthy. I recite my affirmations. I use my visualization. And I write.
Until now my writing has mostly been pen and paper, but today I am jumping online. I am in Austin this weekend, and I plan to document my trip. I am here on “business”. My brokerage, United Real Estate, is holding its yearly convention here at the Westin Downtown.
So stay tuned for my day one post!
